The Fairfax Andrew Hoy XC saddle features a two-part panel that prevents the front of the saddle from being pulled down and in. The main part of the panel bears the rider's weight and the front part under the rider's knee is separated to de-restrict the shoulder girdle muscles. The adjustable blocks under the rider’s knee enables the muscles that activate the shoulder to move freely. They come in two depths that can quickly be adapted to suit the horse. If the horse has an asymmetrical shoulder development, you can use the shallower block on the larger shoulder to enable the rider to sit squarely.
* Hand made in Walsall by highly skilled Master Saddlers, using selected Italian calf skins and top grade English butt leather changeable gullet width available in N/M to XW/XXW
The Tex Eventer is a true cross country saddle, the forwardness of the flap and the long sloping seat designed to give the rider ample room behind to lean back and still feel the security without the cantle interfering. The tree is designed as such that the extra length in the seat is not reflected in the panels.
Flocked with wool to help shock absorption through the panels when landing and also allowing the horse freedom to stride out without restriction on the shoulders. Further forward option available for taller riders and is also available in the single/mono flap options as the Vinici Tex Eventer.

After extensive research and consultation with SMS qualified saddle fitters, physiotherapists and a variety of equestrian establishments involving various disciplines, our design team have developed a new panel and flap concept. The Future saddle has been 2 years in the making and we believe this saddle will enable riders to push their boundaries - jump higher, gallop faster, perform better. The revolutionary new design of the Future saddle will increase freedom of movement of the horse's shoulder as it rotates; this will enable the horse to lengthen its stride with minimal interference from the saddle. Traditionally, the cut (leg) of the panel used on most Jump, GP’s and Event saddles follows the line of the top flap however; the panel at the front of the Future saddle has been cut away so that it can sit comfortably behind the shoulder enabling the horse to move freely. This concept has been tried before and failed due to the front flap (knee roll) collapsing where the supporting panel had been removed. The Future Saddle overcomes this by reinforcing the flap with a stiff plastic at the front that prevents the flap collapsing.
This will not affect the rider as the design of the flap has remained largely unchanged; this is possible because we have reinforced the flap at the front to provide essential balance and stability for the rider’s leg. The reinforced section of the flap will also prevent it from collapsing against the horse’s shoulder and interfering with movement. To accommodate the growing number of taller riders with a longer ‘hip to heel’ measurement we have increased the length of the flap. In addition riders will also be able to choose their preferred style of knee and thigh blocks.

Jeffries manufactures its own spring trees, each to a design that is renowned for its excellent fit, produced in 6-ply laminated wood to prevent distortion whilst retaining flexibility for comfort. Jeffries also source specialist trees from Walsall based manufacturers. The finest quality leather is prepared and finished meticulously, providing ultimate durability and rider safety. Jeffries use only pure new wool flock for stuffing their saddles. Some models have high quality foam panels including the Flyover and a number of close-contact saddles. This allows the saddle fitter to make minor adjustments and tune the saddle for an optimum fit for the horse. Further adjustments can be made throughout the life of the saddle should the horse or pony change shape.
