This beautiful pad offers the best of both worlds. The therapeutic shock absorption of our shaped gel pad with added security of the non-slip properties of the gel on both sides. This allows the saddle to adhere to the top side and the bottom side to the numnah/square or the horses back if used on its own. The saddle is then cradled in a luxurious lambskin front & back rolled edge for the ultimate in 'good-looks'. The whole pad can be machine washed on 30 degrees.

Our Stirrup Bank allows you to try a set of stirrups at home for 2 weeks before committing.

• Stirrups are supplied at full retail price for the trial.

• As they may have been used previously, some light signs of wear should be expected.

• If the stirrups aren’t suitable, you’re welcome to return them within the 2-week trial period for a refund minus 10% of the retail value.

• All returned items are inspected on arrival. If there is excessive wear or any damage caused during the trial, an additional deduction may apply.

• Customers are responsible for the safe return and packaging of the stirrups. Please keep all original packaging until you decide whether to keep them, as this helps prevent damage in transit.

• If you would prefer to exchange the trial pair for a brand-new set of the same model, we can arrange this. The exchange will be processed once the trial fee is paid and stock is available.

• We are unable to offer the Stirrup Bank service internationally.

• If you would like us to provide a Royal Mail return label, we can do so for £6.00. There’s no need to pay upfront—this will simply be deducted from your refund.

Bates Stirrup Leathers have been developed with rider comfort and safety in mind. Bates Webbers 

Bates leather webbers are stirrup straps made without buckles.  They have a loop that attaches the Webber to the stirrup bar, reducing the lump under your thigh and giving you closer contact with your horse.  Having just a single thickness stirrup leather removes excess bulk and interference with your leg, allowing clear and accurate leg aids.  These Webbers are made to match Bates saddles and have a web core to ensure they do not stretch.

Bomber Pony Happy Tongue Loose Ring

Bombers Bit Happy Tongue Loose Ring is a great bit for a horse shaking its head. Bombers created this bit for horses who shake their head when bit pressure is applied. The Happy Tongue would be a good place to start if your horse is:

• Shaking its head
• Sticking its tongue out
• Sucking its tongue back and as a result making an intermittent coughing noise
• Trying to put its tongue over the bit
• Going behind the bit to avoid the contact
• Snatching the reins forward and down

With this in mind the Happy Tongue was created, it has a medium port creating space for the tongue, relieving pressure, allowing the horse to relax.
Hence, Happy Tongue is a solid mouth piece. It is curved and ported to give tongue relief.
The Loose ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure which will reset the bit in the horses’ mouth.
The rider will know immediately if this is the correct bit, as a horse with a sensitive tongue will finally begin to work into, and accept the contact. Changing the cheek pieces would then allow the rider to adjust the level of control.
All our bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:

• oxidises easily
• encourages salivation
• helps bit acceptance
• is warm and sweet
