The Fairfax Andrew Hoy XC saddle features a two-part panel that prevents the front of the saddle from being pulled down and in. The main part of the panel bears the rider's weight and the front part under the rider's knee is separated to de-restrict the shoulder girdle muscles. The adjustable blocks under the rider’s knee enables the muscles that activate the shoulder to move freely. They come in two depths that can quickly be adapted to suit the horse. If the horse has an asymmetrical shoulder development, you can use the shallower block on the larger shoulder to enable the rider to sit squarely.
Handmade in Walsall by highly skilled Master Saddlers, using selected Italian calf skins and top grade English butt leather changeable gullet width available in N/M to XW/XXW

The Fairfax Girth is a luxury item and needs maintaining well. The girth should be well cleaned with warm water after use and fed with leather feeder after every use. Glycerin and oil should not be used as they seal the sweat into the leather and this is what causes the leather to crack over a period of time.
